Whatever your choice, we can ensure that you are paired with a dedicated TDI Instructor Trainer. They will provide you with high quality training, no matter what your needs.

TDI NITROX INSTRUCTOR

Start the journey… The entry level TDI course for instructors wanting to teach enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train instructors to understand the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for teaching the use of Nitrox up to 40 per cent.

Candidate pre-requisites. You’ll need to show… Minimum certification of SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor or equivalent. You’ll need to be certified as basic nitrox diver. This can be combined with the instructor program if necessary. You’ll also have to provide proof of just 10 logged nitrox dives.

TDI ADVANCED NITROX INSTRUCTOR

This is the instructor level certification course for instructors wishing to teach the use of nitrox up to pure Oxygen (O₂). You’ll be able to optimise mixes for depths up to 40 metres. This course is aimed to train you, as a nitrox instructor to teach the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for Nitrox mixes up to pure Oxygen (O₂). It’s a no-stop course, but can be combined with Decompression Procedures.

Candidate pre-requisites. You’ll need to show… Minimum certification of TDI Advanced Nitrox diver or equivalent. Provide proof of 100 logged dives (25 must be nitrox dives). Must have certified 10 students in entry-level nitrox

TDI DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES INSTRUCTOR

Think about this course if you are interested in theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. The class is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught along with other TDI courses. These include TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor, TDI Advanced Wreck Instructor, or TDI Extended Range Instructor. The aim of this course is to train instructors how to plan and conduct a standard decompression procedures course, Maximum depth is not to exceed a maximum 45 metres. You’ll learn about the most common equipment requirements, equipment set-ups, decompression techniques and deco mixes.

Candidate pre-requisites. You’ll need to show… Minimum certification of TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor or equivalent. Advanced Nitrox Instructor courses can be taught along with Deco Procedures Instructor. Minimum certification of TDI Decompression Procedures diver (or equivalent). Provide proof of 150 logged dives. Have certified 10 students in SDI Deep Diver (or TDI Advanced Nitrox diver or equivalent or 10 SDI Advanced Adventure Diver or equivalent).

TDI EXTENDED RANGE INSTRUCTOR

This provides the training and experience required to properly teach air diving up to 55 metres. You’ll learn to train divers to run missions requiring staged decompression, utilizing nitrox mixtures or oxygen (O₂) during decompression. Instructors are trained in the proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving.

Candidate pre-requisites. You’ll need to show… Proof of 250 logged dives (25 must be extended range dives). You should be certified as a TDI Extended Range Diver (or equivalent). Be certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Instructor (or equivalent). Must have certified 10 students as advanced nitrox or decompression procedures (a minimum of 5 must be decompression procedures).

TDI TRIMIX INSTRUCTOR

The TDI Trimix Instructor course provides the training required to be able to competently and safely teach Normoxic Trimix diving. You’ll be able to show candidates how to properly use breathing gases containing Helium with no less than 18 percent oxygen (O₂) for staged decompression dives to a maximum depth of 60 metres.

Candidate pre-requisites. You’ll need to show… Minimum certification as TDI Trimix Diver and TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures Instructor (or equivalent). Proof of having certified 15 advanced nitrox or decompression procedures divers. Show at least 10 decompression procedures certifications. Provide proof of 250 logged dives (with a minimum of 20 logged Trimix dives outside of training – 10 of these dives must be in the last 12 months).
